Gaga workshops are opened to all visitors aged 16 and above regardless of their dancing abilities – previous dancing experience is not necessary. The workshops usually take one hour and are led by dancers who have worked with Ohad Naharin in the Batsheva Ensemble or in the Batsheva Dance Company. The instructors lead the participants through a series of associative instructions that naturally change from one to another. Participants are not asked to copy the instructor’s movements but rather to express the assigned tasks in their own, personal way. The Gaga workshop provides the participants with a creative framework in which they can connect to their bodies and their imagination. The participants will become conscious of their physicality and will work on their flexibility and inner energy. They will feel the joy movement in an open and tolerant atmosphere. Comfortable clothes recommended. We also recommend to be barefoot or wear socks only. Bring a bottle of water and a towel.
