The Israeli ensemble Betty Bears will transfer you to the era of swing and dixieland. The group conveys the atmosphere of the era as if they had lived in New Orleans during the 20s. The music, played on traditional instruments such as the double bass, washboard, saxophone or the clarinet, is still equally enjoyed by today’s audience as 90 years ago. Betty Bears have recorded an EP with a quite limited number of songs, however, they have a much broader repertoire, including the 1918 classic song ‘After You’ve Gone’ that has recently been remade by Jamie Cullum or Fiona Apple.
